This special event featured Jamie John, the artist behind the newly completed mural, “From Acorn to Oak,” at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) on the Dearborn campus. Jamie shared insights into their artistic journey and creative process, exploring themes inspired by nature and their indigenous roots. The talk was followed by a Q&A session.
This program was funded through an IHP Research & Engagement Fund grant project, “Restoring Native Voice at the University of Michigan-Dearborn,” a partnership between the university, the EIC, and local Indigenous experts.
